Le CD de Benn Ywiwi est special à plus d'un titre:
D'abord c'est un import intérieur, concept étrange développé spécifiquement pour ce disque par Ukulele Division. En espérant qu'il sera suivi par d'autres.
Ensuite c'est un album plutôt "experimental", enregistré avec les moyens du bord, une démarche personnelle poussée jusqu'au bout, qu'il faut saluer. Combien d'entre nous se sont arrêtés bien avant, las de ne pas avoir LE son, persuadés que tout ça "ne sert à rien", que "personne n'écoutera" etc...
Benn Ywiwi a persévéré, et son album a le grand mérite d'exister, et d'être en vente... dans certains grands magasins spécialisés même.
Vous l'aurez compris les orchestrations sont minimalistes, les compositions directes mais accrocheuses, en français comme en anglais (monsieur est bilingue ?),et le ukulele apparaît ici dans son plus simple appareil, le type de rôle qui lui va finalement le mieux.
Enfin, parce qu'il est lofi, il est loprix, alors il n'y a plus à hésiter, cet album vous est vendu en circuit court, au prix de 5 euros port compris.

Benn YWIWI did all by himself, wrote all the words, sings all the songs, plays all the ukes (well there's only one), print and cut all the sleeves, and put each record in its sleeve with his own hands.
So don't expect to receive a commercial product, with that big production, big sound, big songs, big orchestrations, big choirs, and big...
No, just a human being playing and singing in a room, a very personnal recording with some technical lacks, but also a wonderful touch, the human touch, the Lofi touch, the intimate touch.
And we all know that the ukulele is the best instrument for those king of things.
